ܡܘܕܥܝܢܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܝܢ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܬܝܗܒܬ ܒܥܕܬܐ ܕܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ
mwdeynn lkwn dyn 'khyn Tybwthh d'lh' d'thyhbth bedth' dmqdwny'
Moreover, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the assemblies of Macedonia;

ܕܒܒܘܩܝܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܗܘܢ ܝܬܝܪܘܬܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܚܕܘܬܗܘܢ ܘܥܘܡܩܐ ܕܡܣܟܢܘܬܗܘܢ ܐܬܝܬܪ ܒܥܘܬܪܐ ܕܦܫܝܛܘܬܗܘܢ
dbbwqy' sgy'' d'wltsnhwn ythyrwth' hwth lkhdwthhwn wewmq' dmsknwthhwn 'thythr bewthr' dpshyTwthhwn
how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their generosity.

ܣܗܕ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܟ ܚܝܠܗܘܢ ܘܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܚܝܠܗܘܢ ܒܨܒܝܢ ܢܦܫܗܘܢ
shd 'n' gyr d'yk khylhwn wythyr mn khylhwn btsbyn npshhwn
For according to their power, I testify, yes and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,

ܒܥܘ ܡܢܢ ܒܒܥܘܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܕܢܫܬܘܬܦܘܢ ܒܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܕܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ
bew mnn bbewth' sgy'th' dnshthwthpwn bTybwth' dthshmshth' dqdysh'
begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

ܘܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܐ ܕܣܒܪܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܐܠܐ ܢܦܫܗܘܢ ܐܫܠܡܘ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܠܡܪܢ ܘܐܦ ܠܢ ܒܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
wl' 'yk m' dsbryn hwyn 'l' npshhwn 'shlmw lwqdm lmrn w'p ln btsbynh d'lh'
This was not as we had expected, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God.

ܕܚܢܢ ܢܒܥܐ ܡܢ ܛܛܘܣ ܕܐܝܟ ܕܫܪܝ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܫܠܡ ܒܟܘܢ ܐܦ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ
dkhnn nbe' mn TTws d'yk dshry hkn' nshlm bkwn 'p Tybwth' hd'
So we urged Titus, that as he had made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace.

ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܡܬܝܬܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܡܠܬܐ ܘܒܝܕܥܬܐ ܘܒܟܠ ܚܦܝܛܘ ܘܒܚܘܒܢ ܕܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܒܗܕܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܬܬܝܬܪܘܢ
'l' 'ykn' dbklmdm mthythryn 'nthwn bhymnwth' wbmlth' wbydeth' wbkl khpyTw wbkhwbn dlwthkwn hkn' 'p bhd' Tybwth' ththythrwn
But as you abound in everything, in faith, utterance, knowledge, all earnestness, and in your love to us, see that you also abound in this grace.

ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܦܩܕ ܦܩܕ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܒܚܦܝܛܘܬܐ ܕܚܒܪܝܟܘܢ ܫܪܪܐ ܕܚܘܒܟܘܢ ܡܢܣܐ ܐܢܐ
l' hw' mpqd pqd 'n' lkwn 'l' bkhpyTwth' dkhbrykwn shrr' dkhwbkwn mns' 'n'
I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.

ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܡܛܠܬܟܘܢ ܐܬܡܣܟܢ ܟܕ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܥܬܝܪܐ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܡܣܟܢܘܬܗ ܬܥܬܪܘܢ
ydeyn 'nthwn gyr Tybwthh dmrn yshwe mshykh' dmTlthkwn 'thmskn kd 'ythwhy ethyr' d'nthwn bmsknwthh thethrwn
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.

ܡܡܠܟ ܕܝܢ ܡܠܟ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܕܐ ܕܡܥܕܪܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܢ ܐܫܬܩܕܝ ܫܪܝܬܘܢ ܠܘ ܠܡܨܒܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܠܡܥܒܕ
mmlk dyn mlk 'n' lkwn hd' dmedr' lkwn mTl dmn 'shthqdy shrythwn lw lmtsb' blkhwd 'l' 'p lmebd
I give a judgment in this: for this is expedient for you, who were the first to start a year ago, not only to do, but also to be willing.

ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܫܠܡܘ ܒܥܒܕܐ ܗܘ ܡܕܡ ܕܨܒܝܬܘܢ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܣܘܘܚܐ ܠܡܨܒܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܒܥܒܕܐ ܬܫܠܡܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ
hsh' dyn shlmw bebd' hw mdm dtsbythwn d'ykn' dhw' lkwn swwkh' lmtsb' hkn' bebd' thshlmwn mn m' d'yth lkwn
But now complete the doing also, that as there was the readiness to be willing, so there may be the completion also out of your ability.

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܨܒܝܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܡܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܗܟܘܬ ܡܬܩܒܠ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗ
'n gyr tsbyn' 'ythwhy 'yk m' d'yth lh hkwth mthqbl l' hw' 'yk m' dlyth lh
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.

ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܠܐܚܪܢܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܪܘܚܬܐ ܘܠܟܘܢ ܐܘܠܨܢܐ
l' hw' gyr dl'khrn' thhw' rwkhth' wlkwn 'wltsn'
For this is not that others may be eased and you distressed,

ܐܠܐ ܒܫܘܝܘܬܐ ܗܘܘ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܝܬܝܪܘܬܟܘܢ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܚܣܝܪܘܬܗܘܢ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܕܐܦ ܝܬܝܪܘܬܗܘܢ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܚܣܝܪܘܬܟܘܢ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܫܘܝܘܬܐ
'l' bshwywth' hww bzbn' hn' dythyrwthkwn dylkwn thhw' lkhsyrwthhwn dhlyn d'p ythyrwthhwn dhnwn thhw' lkhsyrwthkwn dylkwn dthhw' shwywth'
but for equality. Your abundance at this present time supplies their lack, that their abundance also may become a supply for your lack; that there may be equality.

ܐܝܟ ܕܟܬܝܒ ܕܗܘ ܕܐܣܓܝ ܫܩܠ ܠܐ ܐܬܝܬܪ ܠܗ ܘܗܘ ܕܩܠܝܠ ܫܩܠ ܠܐ ܐܬܒܨܪ ܠܗ
'yk dkthyb dhw d'sgy shql l' 'thythr lh whw dqlyl shql l' 'thbtsr lh
As it is written, “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”

ܛܝܒܘ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܗܒܗ ܚܦܝܛܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܚܠܦܝܟܘܢ ܒܠܒܗ ܕܛܛܘܣ
Tybw dyn l'lh' dyhbh khpyTwth' hd' khlpykwn blbh dTTws
But thanks be to God, who puts the same earnest care for you into the heart of Titus.

ܒܥܘܬܢ ܓܝܪ ܩܒܠ ܘܡܛܠ ܕܛܒ ܒܛܝܠ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܢܦܩ ܨܐܕܝܟܘܢ
bewthn gyr qbl wmTl dTb bTyl lh mn tsbynh npq ts'dykwn
For he indeed accepted our exhortation, but being himself very earnest, he went out to you of his own accord.

ܫܕܪܢ ܕܝܢ ܥܡܗ ܠܐܚܘܢ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܬܫܒܘܚܬܗ ܒܐܘܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܒܟܠܗܝܢ ܥܕܬܐ
shdrn dyn emh l'khwn 'yn' dthshbwkhthh b'wnglywn bklhyn edth'
We have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the Good News is known throughout all the assemblies.

ܗܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܡܓܒܐ ܓܒܐ ܡܢ ܥܕܬܐ ܕܢܦܘܩ ܥܡܢ ܒܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܡܫܬܡܫܐ ܡܢܢ ܠܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܝܠܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܠܠܘܒܒܢ ܕܝܠܢ
hkn' d'p mgb' gb' mn edth' dnpwq emn bTybwth' hd' dmshthmsh' mnn lshwbkhh dylh d'lh' wllwbbn dyln
Not only so, but he was also appointed by the assemblies to travel with us in this grace, which is served by us to the glory of the Lord himself, and to show our readiness.

ܩܢܝܛܝܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܗܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܣܝܡ ܒܢ ܡܘܡܐ ܒܗܕܐ ܪܒܘܬܐ ܕܡܫܬܡܫܐ ܡܢܢ
qnyTynn dyn bhd' dl' 'nsh nsym bn mwm' bhd' rbwth' dmshthmsh' mnn
We are avoiding this, that any man should blame us concerning this abundance which is administered by us.

ܝܨܝܦܝܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܠܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܩܕܡ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ
ytsypynn gyr dshpyrth' l' qdm 'lh' blkhwd 'l' 'p qdm bnynsh'
Having regard for honorable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

ܫܕܪܢ ܕܝܢ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐܚܘܢ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܠܢ ܒܩܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܒܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܕܚܦܝܛܐ ܗܘ ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܚܦܝܛ ܒܬܘܟܠܢܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܥܠܝܟܘܢ
shdrn dyn emhwn 'p l'khwn 'yn' dln bq' bklzbn bsgy'th' dkhpyT' hw hsh' dyn ythyr'yth khpyT bthwkln' sgy'' delykwn
We have sent with them our brother, whom we have many times proved earnest in many things, but now much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence which he has in you.

ܐܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܛܛܘܣ ܫܘܬܦܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܠܝ ܘܡܥܕܪܢܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܘܐܢ ܐܚܝܢ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܥܕܬܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ
'n hkyl TTws shwthp' hw dyly wmedrn' bkwn w'n 'khyn 'khrn' shlykh' 'nwn dedth' dshwbkhh dmshykh'
As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker for you. As for our brothers, they are the apostles of the assemblies, the glory of Christ.

ܡܟܝܠ ܬܚܘܝܬܐ ܕܚܘܒܟܘܢ ܘܫܘܒܗܪܢ ܕܒܟܘܢ ܒܗܘܢ ܚܘܘ ܒܦܪܨܘܦ ܥܕܬܐ ܟܠܗܝܢ
mkyl thkhwyth' dkhwbkwn wshwbhrn dbkwn bhwn khww bprtswp edth' klhyn
Therefore show the proof of your love to them before the assemblies, and of our boasting on your behalf.
